Now that we’ve set the scene, a little more about the position we are determined to fill …

We are terribly eager to find a Vet who is has at least one year UK. You will be keen to learn from your fellow experienced surgeon’s. This role will challenge you and grow you rapidly, wording alongside highly qualified and experienced surgeons and medics. Our nursing team can’t wait to support you as you advance too!

You will work realistic hours, with a flexible rota, to meet the needs of the surgery, but we are also firm to satisfy your priceless ‘time out’ and CPD progression.

When I say CPD, I am referring to an independent group who really do care about your professional progression. This is such an amazing team you cannot fail to feel supported and appreciated.

Our surgery premises (including accommodation!) offer everything you would expect from an extremely popular and well respected small independent two branch group, with equipment befitting that of being serious about your varied caseload.

We offer a genuine and upper end 1 year+ qualified package, which can include accommodation.

Weekend Animal Nursing Assistant

Our popular independent veterinary team in Dartford are seeking a Weekend Nursing Assistant!
We’re a friendly bunch (really!) who thrive on treating sick pets to the best of our ability whilst reassuring our clients that their precious companion is in the safest of hands.
This new role is either an incredible entry into veterinary nursing, or perhaps you are a nurse who only wants to work odd shifts and help your comrades feel supported?
We’re very flexible! You can work every weekend, every other weekend or every 3rd weekend. The more hands to help our incredibly special team, the better!
Saturday’s are 8.30am to 5pm
Sunday’s are 9.30am to 2pm

The main duties in this position are to :
-Welcome pets upon arrival
-Book appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary
-Helping to keep the surgery inside and out clean for the pets we are caring for, our clinical team and our clients
-Help to promote our Healthcare Plan so that pets are receiving premium discounted preventative treatment
-Looking in follow up appointments for the pet once they have left their initial consultation
-Help the Vet and Nurse team with queries
-Liaison with clients regarding queries for appointment booking and medication collection
-Ordering food and medication
-Taking payment immediately after treatment of the pet if you are helping on reception
-Feeding and helping to give medication to pets in our care
-0% finance application processing for those clients wanting to spread the cost of payment for larger operations
